BR, I liked the interview. Have you wrote or do you plan to write a book on the Lindbergh Kidnapping case?

Hi, kdwv8. I definitely plan no book on the LKC, although I did write an article for a magazine on it about a year ago. However, since I wrote that article, I’ve changed my mind about a number of things—especially in regard to Hauptmann’s guilt (I now take a much dimmer view of him). For me, the LKC is an excellent place to test our own logic and face our own biases. Sometimes we come up with a good idea, and sometimes somebody else shows its flaws (or even shoots it down in flames). It’s a fascinating case with endless angles to it, which sustains our interest. As to books, I look forward to Michael’s and what new information it will reveal.

Thanks, Michael. This was my first experience with both Kindle and Amazon’s print-on-demand service. It saved me quite a bit of money that I would have had to spend had I ordered a print run in advance. These are nice tools to have available, which you (and any other authors on the board) might want to keep in mind as possible options when publishing.

My website went live today. I will eventually be blogging and plan a post called “Why I Changed My Mind about the Lindbergh Kidnapping.” (Meaning I no longer believe Hauptmann was innocent, as I argued two years ago in a published article.)
