I'll check this out.... My head is swimming right now... Went to the Archives yesterday to follow up a lead. The next thing I know I am finding reports I never knew existed. How does this happen? Glad you asked.... In the State Police collection there are (2) sets of folders. Both sets are supposed to be the exact of each other. The 2nd set also has "duplicate" sets. That makes (3) of the same collection - right? Wrong. I've always known that if one set doesn't have a certain numbered report the other two might. Now I am seeing where some number are the same but different reports. Ain't supposed to work that way. Additionally, I am finding reports attached to other reports that don't exist in the other files. I thought I had a complete collection of the zone searches but yesterday I discovered that I do not. Back to the drawing board. These searches are waaaayyyy too important to be ignored. Sorry, in case you really didn't care but I had to vent! An absolute necessity for anyone considering a trip to research at the NJSP Archives. Finding anything would be IMPOSSIBLE without Mark's help:
