For Viscount Kevkon: Of course I want to be friends - is there any other way? I stated where I thought the water came from a long while ago. It's the timing of when it was noticed that interests me. I say it was noticed pretty early on, and of course it was evident later too, but if someone was making up the early report(s?) they just happened to ironically make up a fact that did actually happen later. See FBI report of Aug. 1934. Like DejaVu all over again - according to Yankee catchers. Bob Geren is the Yankee catcher nephew I mentioned by the way. I saw him hit a home run against the Twins once - VCool! People seem to have trouble with this musty timing thing and I know there's not a lot of reference to it but there is some. Tune up the bike and hope to see ya at the Rally. There are only a few unquestioned truths in life but I'll tell you one. I worked at a c-store in Spearfish (not far from Sturgis) during a Rally once, and a biker will invariably put in four bucks worth os gas, then stare at his bike for fifteen minutes (plugging up a pump of course.) Very nice people though. I don't look too closely at Bob's Lincoln information - he's a true expert. He likes you - I'm sure he would appreciate any comments you have about that crime. I'm impressed that you're a carpenter. I'm not precise enough to be. You know - 45 degrees, 48 degrees, big deal! Until it comes to the end of the project.

OK Jack, I see where you are coming from here. You're saying the bills were in the "crock" buried in Hauptmann's garage and got wet from ground water, right? But, would you expect all of the bills to smell musty? After all, he wouldn't put it all in there since he wasn't going digging every time he wanted some cash. Also, wouldn't you expect those bills to be stained from the water and soil? What's interesting about the buried crock is that it was left in place. You would expect it to be removed with the contents as opposed to only the contents being removed.

For Kevkon: Yes that's where I'm coming from but I hope you'll understand that it's frustrating - but I'm not going to give up. As I told you before, you bring up interesting issues. Sometimes you perhaps don't know how intriguing the issues you bring up are. Why wouldn't BRH throw away the jug is very interesting. And this kind of stuff has never been brought up by anybody - except you. The jug proves Hauptmann was an ongoing liar, but who isn't? If you were accused of kidnapping and murder what would you do - or me? I'd surely talk my way out if I could. My thoughts are that BRH was a packrat who wouldn't throw anything usefull away. There is really no evidence to support that but it would seem his nature due to his frugality. I believe - since you asked what I think about stuff - that he would have saved parts of the "Ransom Box" but they weren't found so I think somebody else got first grab at the money. See my earlier posts Re: Gardiner. The Jug is a very very solid timeline position similar to what I sent you about the OJ timelines. It's still certainly a mystery, but one that should have been held over Richard's head until he answered.
