Mairi - no Lindbergh artifacts from the NJSP Museum have gone to that Museum in Washington. If anything they have originated from the NJSP Museum, then my guess is they have copies of photographs etc... I am quite certain the NJSP does not loan out artifacts to other Museums.
Additionally, I've learned from Mark Falzini the Hoover Presidential Library is working on an exhibit that will have some photos from the Lindbergh Case included. Mark mentioned that he was scanning photos for that exhibit when I last communicated with him.

Michael~ Thanx for the reassurance about the LB kidnap artifacts. That's a relief to know. Re: "Speedy" Ashton's description of the car, the same speculation as yours crossed my mind. But then again the three components of his description --Loud noise/speed/three(?) feet airborne, sound rather convincing to me. Then, as someone else mentioned, the suggestion that it may have been a stranger to the area unfamiliar with that bump in the road. It's a sighting which really interests me. That was also a very interesting letter you posted. Do you decipher the signature? Signature(?) or initials(?) Rick~ that's such a good and helpful map you found! I printed it off and am attaching it right here next to my computer. What a handy reference it will be!
