At the best known, a twin- towered skyscraper on Central Park West, there is a legend that part of the Lindbergh ransom is stashed there. Among the carpenters who worked on the Majestic in the early 1930's was Bruno Richard Hauptmann, later executed for the kidnap-murder of Charles A. Lindbergh's baby.
