Just a little update for those who have contacted me as well as other interested parties... I know that I've previously suggested that I would just write until I ran out of information then published "how many ever volumes" I had by that point. But unforeseen circumstances have caused me to change my mind. And so, I've given myself an artificial deadline to finish V4 up by fall. It could happen sooner but I know just saying that will jinx me. Unless I run out of room (400 pages), there will be 12 chapters. I am currently working on the final section of Chapter 9. Here is a photo of the folder/books/sources I am consulting just to finish this section so you can see what I've been up against when writing everything that I do: imgur.com/ReZL5p8BTW: Sometimes I remember "other" sources and have to go back to insert specific pieces of information which also slows me down. The first chapters in both V2 & V3 also tend to prove I don't always do that "in time" either!

Thanks a lot. So do you! Thank-you for the update, will look forward to this although I'm sad that it will be your final volume. I appreciate this! Just a little change in plans due to something I did not expect. May not be the last, I mean, I've got to do something to keep me busy. But frankly, after this one I have plans to file material waiting to be (there is a lot), and re-vamp my entire collection by going through everything and trying to make a record of what's what and where. A monumental task to say the least. I absolutely know by doing this I will find certain things, and re-discover material I'll want to either write about or discuss.

Thanks for the update Michael and looking forward to V4. Can you give us a sneak preview of the content selection? I don't want to sound paranoid, but I'm going to keep this general. There's so many people writing books that I don't want someone trying to beat me to the punch. Not that they could in any way, but I want to avoid it altogether. I'd rather they read the book THEN do whatever they want to do and not the other way around. But here is what I'm willing to share: I'll have the "usual" first chapter. Another on Condon. One having to do with a witness who did not testify. One on an early suspect most everyone's probably never heard of. Nosovitsky. Another addressing theories in other books. Birritella. Violet Sharp. Specific information about Wendel. And I plan on a final chapter hitting on various misc things I don't want to leave out.

Glad to hear there will be a fourth book. ESPECIALLY GLAD to hear it will include Birritella!!!!! Between Mr. BreckenBridge's letter, and the location of their church, ETC., there are ties there; you said you had more details on them when I brought it up once before. (Love to see a picture of them.) There's a great picture in an article with a map of 127th St. and a photo shot from approx their church, showing Henkels rooming house and the Warner Quillan gas station And I always was interested in Behn's pursuit of Nosovitsky, sadly Behn died shortly after the publication of The Crime. I know Ronelle managed to speak to him but didn't really learn anything new. (I used to be active on her board.)

As of right now I don't have a one I can publish. Outside of what I already have, I intend to get to the Archives (still closed) to try to find a few more and they are on my list of those. As far as the information I have quite a bit although you know as well as I do there is always more out there to be found and discovered. Some of what I've already written may point in that direction or at least provide an avenue to search.

Hey Michael and Johnno, I think these are the 2 images that you are looking for. They are both in Joseph Dunninger's Inside the Medium's Cabinet -

Thanks Wayne & Michael!! Those were the pictures I meant when I said "There's a great picture...." in my earlier post (I have them, I just don't know know to post), I was actually hoping for a picture of Peter & Mary themselves. There's a photo of their Church/Temple of Divine Power on the LindyTruth website: www.lindytruth.org/temple.jpg Has anyone seen the July 4,1936 issue of Liberty? There is allegedly an article about them there. I have several articles from various places about them, altho I doubt Mary was an actual mystic. I was active on Ronelle's blog, and went on the great first trip to the Bronx! (I think he also had movies of the great lamented Freedomland, now Co-Op City). My life got crazy, (a divorce, some other problems). I've enjoyed and appreciated your books Michael. I understand your reasons, but every so often I curse the lack of an index... I have a lot of catching up to do.

Thanks Wayne!! That's the article. I miss the good ol' Reader's Guide to Periodical Literature. My Library in their infinite wisdom, just threw them all out, I suppose the internet killed it.

Okay, concerning V4:
There's 11 chapters. Among them are subjects that include Sharp, Schultz, Koren, and everything you ever wanted to know about Nosovitsky. The Birritellas are included too, but they are only a part of a bigger chapter on the subject. There will need to be additional research at the Archives before I can put a bow on it. For example, there's a letter associated with Al Reich that I want to add to Chapter 1. Unfortunately, my copy has the date cut off so there's no way I can do it until I locate it again. While I do have an outline for another book, I'll wait to see how this is received before I decide what to do. I'll probably ask what everyone thinks about the potential subjects too because, as I think everyone can see, I take the Board's input on the adding potential subjects seriously. However, to be frank, I don't believe V3 got the attention it should have and V4 is even different still. A fifth book would have to venture into the realms of Gaston Means and Ellis Parker which I do have a sense of obligation to write since I know I have information about both no one has ever laid eyes on before. IDK, it would be a lot of work so I guess its a "wait and see" type of situation and definitely putting the cart before the horse at this point.

Update on V4:
A big thank you to Nate for editing the manuscript for me! As I am winding through the corrections it is making a HUGE difference. I cannot thank him enough for his help. Like I've done previously, I've addressed some mistakes in the other books. While its not something I enjoy doing, I do believe its absolutely necessary. The idea isn't to show anyone up or prove "who" is right or wrong but rather to simply get to the truth. I don't get carried away because there isn't enough room to do so, but if one was wondering about certain things then its probably in there. If not, it just means I didn't get to them in this volume. Also, as usual, there's a TON of new information to consider. Anyway, if I'm not around as much its because I'm working hard to get this thing done.
Looks like it should be out in the Fall. Keep your fingers crossed.

beware of what Wayne scadutos book is got so many mistakes people protect him here. its always Jim's book that everybody has something to say. How come current authors don't debate there books they hit and run. Its apparent you never heard a live debate on this case much different then on a computer Not true. I address issues from most every book throughout all four volumes. V4 touches on many of the other books. I even point out where I disagree with Lloyd on a certain point. Nothing against you Mike I'm not buying no more Lindbergh kidnap books? That's okay Steve.

For anyone who has read V4, you'll remember that I addressed the picture of the boy on his bike mentioned in Judge Pearlman's book. I have an entire file on this child and since the NJSP Archives isn't open, and doesn't appear it will be for a while, I've decided to post another clipping I have. If anything can be taken away from this subject its that research has its rewards. This stuff is in the archives, I mean, its right there. The answers are there. Find something in a college library, on the internet, another book, or any other source and the solution lies within the files in West Trenton. It might take some time but you will eventually find it.

Here's a little more while I'm on the subject. This is from Leon Ho-age's "A-Z." As one can see, he knew precisely the situation. The problem is, very few people have ever laid eyes on it. Next, you put this information into someone's hands who don't know what they are looking at and its meaningless. This is why I had to write about this boy in V4 (Pages 70-5). It not only clears up the mistake, it also demonstrates the pitfalls that can occur while researching the case. If one isn't familiar with Ho-age to start with then nothing on that end gets pursued that should be. That's why certain counter arguments were made that do not make any sense. There's a decision to make: either its about wanting to be believed - or actually being right. Being right takes a lot of time. Wanting to be believed is a shortcut that can lead many others down the paths traveled by both Fisher and Scaduto. Since the real and legitimate information is there for the taking, its inexcusable. I once said I "can't fix every mistake" in all of the various books. Well, the more I think about it, the more something tells me I just might have to do exactly that.
