It will all be in Vol. Three titled "The Dog Did It" The part about chewing off the baby's leg was hilarious. The dog was perfect for the Sullivan show, wonder if it could say hamburger?

This is an interesting post because people in part blame Lindbergh because he didn't bring the dog back. Quite possibly CAL didn't give a hoot about one more dog around the house, and wanted to get home where he was expecting a nice evening now that he'd called for Betty.

It's amazing how you find a way to excuse just about everything Lindbergh does. The dog was there literally every other trip. This time he was left home. Why? What are the odds of that? It also doesn't explain why everyone else said the other barked at anything & everything, yet Lindbergh perjured himself by saying he was a very quiet dog and wouldn't be expected to bark.

So you're saying Lindbergh purposely decided to leave Skean behind so that there was no opportunity for him to play guard dog by Charlie's crib? And Lindbergh perjured himself for having the personal opinion that Wahgoosh was not a particularly good watchdog? Do you have actual proof of this or is this merely more speculation building upon itself?

Well, big deal, you don't take a dog one place or another. Any other night it means nothing and it should mean nothing now because to everybody but the kidnapper, it's just another night in the life of them all - and that includes CAL. Cal was a very busy and successful man. You could probably examine any few hours of any of his day and they wouldn't compare at all similarly to a normal person's. When's the last time you sat in on a board of directors of an airline's meeting? Or made decisions for a bank? Every day CAL probably would have had discrepencies, which to him were normal, but to others looked gigantic. Even that Alumni dinner that he missed might have been just another humdrum as far as his feelings went. So what's the big deal about that day - that he missed a dog pickup - not a big deal!

The first is an awfully big coincidence when you factor in all of the other luck that must have taken place for this to be pulled off. The second is literally every other person in the house testified that Wahgoosh should have barked, yet Lindbergh lies about it. If eight witnesses testified they heard someone say one thing but one person, who might have skin in the game, says otherwise - who are you going to believe?

It's not a fake kidnapping because Lindbergh would have had to have been a participant in a fake kidnapping and for several reasons, it is known that he wasn't a part of a kidnapping on 3/1/32. He may have been trying to cover something else up and that's where your confusion lies, but he wasn't trying to cover up a fake kidnapping.
