I know most of us like to talk about our favorite book in regards to the case. I was wondering if anyone has ever come across one that they would put in the opposite category? I am not quite finished with it, but I have found one that qualifies. I will share mine once I actually finish the book.

The one I was referring to was "A Talent To Deceive" by William Norris. I just finished it. There may be a nugget or two that proved interesting. But a lot of basic facts were incorrect and I found the story very disjointed. Although it was a quick read.

It's hard for me to say since there have been many books I simply skimmed through instead of reading. The Jone's book for me was an impossible read and Fisher's Ghost was probably the biggest disappointment.

The couple of things I found interesting, and perhaps you can clarify: one is that the claim is there is no mud on the ladder rungs, implying it was a decoy. The second is that Fisch paid for his boat trip to Germany before his death with ransom money. I have never heard that before, and cannot believe that has never been jumped on if there is any credence to it at all.
His book goes back and forth between Dwight Jr. killing the baby, and some imaginary illegitimate son who was under the foster care of Jafsie being responsible. Sometimes it seems he is combining the two into one. Later on in the book, he debunks his own theory on there being an illegitimate son. It just seemed very disjointed. Went from there being an illegitimate son, to there being an impostor, into the trial, then a last few pages with info that points to Dwight Jr., without any real continuity.

I'll take a whack at it.....
Having researched this angle myself, Bill tackles a tough subject and attempts to sort it all out. There were all kinds of rumors regarding it coming from just about everywhere. I think Bill is showing where he believes they were wrong and what he believes was the correct situation.
My favorite part was when he was "escorted" out of town while attempting to research Dwight Jr.'s mental hospital stay.

That would be my first choice too. It wouldn't be if it were properly classified as a work of fiction.

I sent him the Hepburn stuff and the copy of the will so I know neither of those are fictional.
