Somewhat OT: John Douglas has a Mind Hunter website, and there was an article on the Nova special. I wanted to add an observation to the thread and got three long paragraphs written only to have the screen freeze. To make a long story short I was frozen out of not only the sie but the web for forty-five minutes and lost what I'd written. Has anyone else had a smilar problem? I wonder. Some time back I joined his site and had problems, too, albeit on a smaller scale. To make a long story short, I'm curious about the Douglas site. It may be my pc-O/S, which ain't the greatest or the newest, or maybe Mind Hunter just isn't use friendly. I found it enormously frustrating, not sure if I care to return there .

IMO Douglas was/is highly overrated, so if you have negative comments about him you might not be wanted. To his corner though most criminals turn out to be of the same types so working detectives look at Douglas type stuff as being just more yada.

Nothing negative on my part, Jack. It's the site itself, I think, or on my system anyway.

I'm not sure if Douglas was the one, but one of those guys predicted that the "Bomber" would be found in a three piece suit. Look at Ted Kovinski. Also they go in - invited by superiors - to places where detectives have more to do than they can ever handle and take up time with meetings and it always amounts to the same old BS, a loner, unliked by his mother, abused, yadayada! You tell me what good it is then ask excellent detective Fuhrman. And if you don't like Fuhrman - no matter what he did, he did his job!
