Along the same lines as the JP Morgan, Jr thread, I am interested if there were any similarities between the Lindbergh ransom notes and the Constance Morrow ransom letter.

heres dwight morrow jrs reaction to the kidnapping in a ny times article------- "some such thing might have been expected", his remark tended to lend weight to the report that his sister and nephew had been threatened

The Handwriting is absolutely different. I will dig out the letter in order to review it then post what I can about it. If it's "scan-able" I will do that.

Here is the front page of the April 23rd Note. It asks for $50,000 and threatens harm by giving examples concerning other similiar situations involving ransom. It instructs denominations: $5-10-20-50-100-500-1000 bills provided by J.P. Morgan. It instructs to destroy the note. Given until the 10th of May. May 12th Letter: More similiar threats. Tells to put the money in a "bundle" (old newspaper) then get on a "Buss" to the Bakers Chocolate Mill. Transfer at Matapan for Forest Hills then "get a car" for Dedham Sq. Get a Buss to Grove St. Get out, count 6 electric lights. There will be a stone wall there. Then drop the money "there over the fence by this light." Go alone. I think while A&M might have been right in that someone was given the "idea" because of this plot, this situation itself is different in many ways. Attachments:
