Since few of you seem interested in Grand Conspiracy Theory I will try to enhance your desire to buy my book "The Lindbergh Baby Kidnap Conspiracy" with some Warburg material. His motives are rich & manifold. Lindy's father Jew-baits his father Paul;Wall Street bankers refuse to finance his flight;Lindy NYC celebrations snubs these Jews directly;Paul Warburg blames Lindy flight for air industry bubble;Paul dies 32 days before snatch. 1st ransom bill appears in Warburg's Greenwich - most far-flung inKobe, Japan where Warburg's pioneered western banking. Bruno's living room is covered in furs as he is dealing/trading in furs. Warburg's bank finances U.S. fur industry, his 1st book was on leather & fur. Bruno is working at Majestic Apartments, Warburg Realty handles Majestic Apartments now & likely then. Bruno tells of a mysterious "Jimmy". NYTimes headline "Hauptmann Guilty" an inch & a half below this is the name Allen Wardwell who had relinquished his Presidency of the Economics Club of New York a year earlier to James Warburg. Times says Bruno checking market results after being bashed by Wilentz. You'd think he'd be thinking about his associates - HE IS, they are market guys! Warburg interrupts his mourning to flee to Europe - why? - the investigation is heating up. FBI File chief suspect Morrow dressmaker is Warburg's governess's sister. Thomas Lamont, Dwight Morrow's Englewood neighbor & Morgan Partner puts up ransom money & suspect "Red" Johnson works for him & deals with dressmaker. Lamont townhouse is on E. 70th Street - SO IS JAMES WARBURG'S TOWNHOUSE = convenient - & the Morrow townhouse is 4 blocks south at 66th street.Warburg becomes chief investor in my cousin Edwin Land's Polaroid Corporation. This is a Lindbergh inside joke move as Lindy's mother is a Land. Warburg's uncle Felix financed Theremin's Laboratory which had a mock-up of the Lindbergh Baby's nursery with crib & mechanical baby which enabled Theremin to win the Baby Protection award from July 1932 Radio News - I have article & picture in my book. The conspirators practiced the snatch with this Warburg financed Mock-Up of Lindy nursery. This is just SOME of my James Warburg material. There are chapters on Lehmans, Morgenthaus, FDR, & of course, Albert Einstein, as well as Jewish Mobs. I am Alan. The book price will rise to $26.99 after February 1st because of higher printing costs. So buy now & save.

Hello, Alan. As a matter of fact, I just finished your book yesterday. I plan to post a review of it on this board, but with the 80th anniversary of the kidnapping coming up so soon, I first want to run an LKC article idea past an editor friend of mine. If he goes for it, the article will be a general review of the LKC, and will reference your book, but by no means exclusively.
I think I should mention that this board has been quiet lately—you might notice that a few years ago, it had a number of regular contributors, but many of them seem to have dropped out. I don’t know the reasons—they are probably individual; Michael, the administrator, could probably elaborate on that.
In terms of marketing your book, I’m sure you will want to explore avenues besides this discussion board. Getting your book onto Amazon is certainly one of the best ways to get your product known and sold. If you get into their “Amazon Advantage” program, they will let you maintain your own web page for the book on Amazon. Another great way to get a new book known, of course, is to get onto radio talk shows. It doesn’t cost you a dime; you basically just have to convince the talk show host’s producer (whose contact info you can find on the station website) that you have something interesting to say. The 80th anniversary of the kidnap coming up gives you a great way to introduce your topic as relevant.
Incidentally, I also think you will help your book’s sales if you come up with (1) a cover design that has graphics; and (2) improved text fonts—if you can swing that. A cover design can be free; sometimes you just need an artist friend (who gets free publicity from having their artwork on your cover) or a public-domain photograph.

There's various reasons why people "come and go."
Researching this case can be stressful, time consuming, or difficult, so sometimes people take "a break." You'll notice that some personalities clash, yet, when one of those disappear - then so does the other one. Others just do not post but prefer to read or focus in on something in particular. Then you have busy days and slow days like, for example, last Wednesday we had 31 unique hits, but today we are already at 61. Some drop by to check out the board, satisfy their curiosity and "that's that" while others decide to stick around.
Now as to the Warburg Theory....
I haven't read the book so it would be unfair for me to criticize. However, you can find like situations connecting many people to many other people in this Case and it means nothing.
As it concerns this Crime, the 6 degrees of separation theory is absolutely true.
My friend and fellow researcher Siglinde is a genius when it comes to this. Mention a street, a date, or a place and she will immediately rattle off hundreds of connections involving the various people mentioned within the Police Reports. Once you hear the first one you are struck that the case is solved, then comes the second, the third, the fourth, the fifth, and so on, and so on - so this reality - concerning hundreds of people leads to the irresistible conclusion that all of those people cannot possibly be involved.
But somewhere in them is the one that counts.
Perhaps Dr. Marlis found it. I don't know. Again, as far as the 11 years of Archival research I have done - I have only ever seen Warburg's name in the FBI Summary Report. Maybe he found something in an Archive I haven't been to.
I look forward to your review BR, and I welcome all comments about the book. I believe every book about this case has value, and I plan on reading it myself sooner or later. (Hopefully sooner rather then later). One thing for sure....the more chatter about the book then the more interest there will be to check it out. Hopefully Dr. Marlis will stick around for a bit to discuss it.

Steve,
I zero'd in on him once I heard about this theory. I have information about him but it all comes from sources outside of this Case. It's why I am interested to see where all of this is coming from. Since I continue to find things, to this day, it's very possible I missed something somewhere. Whatever is in this book will be all new material (for me).
