I just bought a "Spirit of Saint Louis" radio on eBay. Sounds in good shape - we'll see.

Hey Wolf. I knew of a guy who built a plane in his garage in S Minneapolis. The police arrested him when he tried to fly it out. Crazies everywhere I guess. That radio iz cool Wolf.

Wolf, I've been trying to find a nude volleyball site and thought you could help me. e or phone. Is Rita still alive? I havn't been on this junk for a long while. Some may laugh at my radio purchase but I've seen thousands of old radios and this is the first "Spirit of Saint Louis."

They gotta be kinda rare. Like I said I'm an old radio cruiser - in my house in Minneapolis I left probably three hundred of 'em - mostly old five tubers. But of the probably thousands of radios I've looked at, this is the first one called "Spirit of Saint Louis," I had some museum quality ones that my ex probably thought were just junk and tossed. Oh well, the way of old radios I guess. You used to be able to just drive alleys and find plenty of big ones. They go for like 2 to 600 bucks now just for average ones. Of course I wish I had all the cars I've went through. Kids nowdays have no chance at style. There's no real difference between a 1983 and a 1993 malibu, but the 1950's were very different.

Probably better to have a couple really nice ones than hundreds of clunkers. I've got a mint Transoceanic - the silver model, newer, from 1960 or so, not the old smelly leather ones, and not the tacky gold one. That gold model had improved tuning but I just didn't like it's looks, and this silver one works great - just as good as a DX-200 which I've got hooked to an antenna. So I'll hang with my few nice rads and not buy 400 of 'em this time around.
