Sue,
I don't see the house but I'd like to identify the area. Obviously this is a point where many Reporters parked on the side of the road. I've got many maps of the 1932 area so I'll take a look for them to see if I can't determine where this is.

I believe that is RT 518 (Broad St) in Hopewell, looking west.

Kevin, Is there something specific about this picture that makes you think this? I am still searching for a specific map I have. I know I keep telling everyone how hard it is sometimes to find certain reports or material that I have. To exemplify this, I thought I'd post a picture containing part of my "War Room":

Thanks to Uncle Sam, I look for hard points, geography first and infrastructure second. Notice the angle of the road in the background and the mountain to the right. That corresponds to the Sourland Mt and the road out of Hopewell. The planes are in a crop field which matches the base of the Sourlands where Amwell rd is.

I finally found the maps I was looking for. Some are in my Map File but I have others in other files where I believe those maps highlight & compliment specific topics held within those files. End result is a lengthy search......
All I can do is offer other possibilities because I personally don't see enough points of reference. I originally thought this was Hopewell-Wertzville road. I hate to name roads because the Police got them all wrong in their reports so it gets confusing.
This road would have run parallel to the road in front of Lindbergh's home but would have been connected by Featherbed Lane IF that road were passable.
I know many Reporters parked on that road then walked the length of Featherbed driving the State Police crazy in attempting to secure & keep Intruders off of the Property by coming in from that direction.
But since I don't see Featherbed, I can't say where the planes are parked is the Hopewell Heights, Inc. Land.
It could be Kevin is right - I just don't know at this point.

You're right Steve. All types of that stuff was happening. I have reference to where some of the planes were landing and taking off. At this point I can't say with any degree of certainty.
Kevin sounds much more confident so the odds are in his favor.
