Why is Rita banned from this board? Age descrimination?
Certainly older viewers and contributors have different views - but is that a reason to bann them?
What do you really care what others say? Hey don't read it!

Rita's own actions are what got her banned.
I stand by my decision to do so. After accusing me of "planting" virii to infect Posters (among other terrible & false accusations) for about the 10th time I decided enough was enough.
It takes a lot for me to get to that point.

virii = ? Virus infestors something something?
Did she plant Anthrax and Ricin too?
All that's asked is to give her another chance (maybe she doesn't even want one - then you're cool).
Screw it - too much problem for not my problem!

Be clear on one point. Michael has to be one of the fairest minded individuals that I have ever met. Anyone banned from his site is so for reasons other than their opinions.

I very much agree. He is above fair in my estimation. And squabbles are just that - squabbles.
So for the time being I'm outta this squabble.

Although there is some debate about it, this is the plural of "virus." Some English Professors say its really "viruses" but that would go against everything that was ever pounded into my head in English class growing up.... plus Virii sounds correct and Viruses just sounds wrong.
I misuse the hyphen all the time too, but again, it sounds better to me so I use it. And I've noticed via all the discussion about its usuage elsewhere that I am not alone.
And while we're on the subject, when I was 3 I remember Adults telling me "ain't" wasn't a word. Technically they were right, but here it is, some 39 odd years later, and that term is still around. Since I like it I continue to use it. Maybe its the "Rebel" in me.... hmmm, I don't know....maybe. It just seems like "aren't," "isn't," and "wasn't" are just too proper at times. Know what I mean? So, it looks like if people like it, use it, accept it, and understand it, then its kinda a word. I dunno.
Anyway, in a nut-shell, I tried with Rita on multiple occasions (I mean really tried) and now is a non-issue.

Cool by me - nada issue.
Ain't is an interesting word because it can be used to inflict emotion as well as opinion.
Kind of like swear words which were totally unacceptable thirty years ago yet are quite common today.
I use hyphen a lot - and though in correct usage it's presence is supposed to be limited (similar to exclamation point) it seems to fit into the way I try to say things much. But then my wordage and structuring would probably be considered inept by a great writer, like, say Gore Vidal.
