As one of Shaun's cousins and Uncle Harry's nieces, to have this horrible crime solved is all the family has ever hoped for. So far, there is nothing concrete to prove that my Uncle had any involvement in Shaun's murder - this includes DNA.

I know growing up you must have heard family offer their ideas about it.

I was also Shaun’s cousin, but on Shaun’s mother’s side of the family. I remember Harry Ritterson from picnics at my Grandmothers house. I was young...7 or 8 years old. I recall being frightened by him as he was usually drunk. He was opposite his brother (Shaun’s father) in personality. I never understood how they could have been related. Do I think he murdered Shaun? Well, I have no proof, but he appears to be the most likely suspect. Call it a gut feeling.

This has been one of those mysteries that every kid growing up in the area remembers hearing about - but for your family a true nightmare in more ways than one. It looks like the family was/is divided about who may have done it. Without getting yourself into "trouble" is there anything else you can tell us? Like ... do you remember other family discussions and who might have believed he did it and why? Or for those who defended ... did they believe it was someone else or did they simply defend Harry?
