Anne Lindbergh was flying with her husband during her pregnancy (not known which trimester) with CALJR. She wrote they were very high and very little oxygen. Could that have been the cause of the baby's 'problem' - lack of oxygen during pregnancy? Just a thought.

But we'll never know the answer with any degree of certainty.

But I also like to mention the fact that it was not only a lack of oxygen but the fact Anne had exhaust fumes blowing in her face as well. I often wonder how much she endured before begging for Lindbergh to land? No doubt quite a bit. Unfortunately for her, he wasn't about to let anyone think he was "weak" so she was forced to suffer through it.
