Her name is Carolyn Cox.
Carolyn, NOT Carol, should have been in the subject bar.

i might need to hear more about the book but will probably read it. what's another book or 10? i remember reading "Little Gloria, Happy at Last" about the Gloria Vanderbilt custody battle and how the panic of kidnappings of kids from wealthy families in that era (including the Lindberghs) terrorized a young Gloria (who was probably more than a little brainwashed by her aunt and nurse to boot). i think that threat went right on through the era of the Getty III and Patricia Hearst cases. it seems weird to us now, perhaps, that someone could snatch a famous child. imagine for an instant if say, Beyonce's child was kidnapped, or Bill Gates, etc. the media would explode now much as it did then in the Lindbergh case. of course one book i'm really waiting for is Vol. IV. no pressure Michael!

And to finish the quotation from Ecclesiastes: ". . .and much study is a weariness of the flesh."

Not true, Steve. Michael's books are full of documents and information that people did not know unless they did a lot of archival research. A new look at this case using all the new information that is coming out through research is so important.

of course one book i'm really waiting for is Vol. IV. no pressure Michael! That's nice to hear! To give you a quick update, I am trying to finish up Chapter 5 now. After this, I plan on reading both of the new books I've mentioned previously. Then, once I take up the manuscript again, I will be tackling Jacob Nosovitsky. I was reluctant to at first because he is such a complex character and I have an enormous amount of information on him. In fact, I delayed writing because I was waiting on yet another source and it just came in about two weeks ago so I have no excuse anymore. It will be hard to simply address him as it relates to this case, and his backstory is incredible so I will face a real challenge here. Honestly, the man deserves a book just about him but he's a subject I know everyone who researches this case is interested in so I really have no choice. It's going to be difficult without going overboard but I'm going to do my best. BTW: Steve - I got Walling's book recently and I wanted to thank you for calling this to my attention. A great addition to my Hall-Mills Murders collection!

Its not where Michael is going with the case, Steve. It's about where the new facts he shares with his books take the reader once they know about them!

amy i have a problem with some of the things mike calls facts Could you give me just one fact from any of Michael's books that illustrate your problem with Michael's facts. Just one. I am not going to argue with you about it. I am just trying to understand what you mean when you say you have a factual problem with what Michael has written.

very simple the wood evidence is very damaging his handwriting has similarities to the ransom notes. ive been in hauptmans attic the whole flooring is the same wood as rail 16. hes identified spending the ransom money, he was seen in hopewell. how could this man been cleared? this garbage that lindbergh did it is so laughable to me. theres no proof whatsoever. this is where im at amy

Thank you for your response, Steve. Can you tell me the chapter and page number in Michael's latest book where he says that rail 16 is not a piece of wood from Hauptmann's attic? I also don't recall reading in any volume Michael has written a statement that says Hauptmann is not a guilty participant in this crime. Which of Michael's volumes does that statement appear in? I can't find it. Help, please.

Ok, Steve. Thanks for the clarificaton! I do plan to read about the Hall-Mills Case. Would enjoy talking about it sometime. I don't know if there is a discussion board for that crime like this great board Michael created for the Lindbergh case.

well ronelle has a great board also even though i dont agree with her weve been good friends over the years and was with her on alot of bronx lindy tours with sue campbell and others. as far as the hall mills case, sue and i went to a talk a few years ago and they had some of the physical evidence pertaining tothe case and i visited some of the sites.

OK Steve. By your response, I take it you are not aware of any Hall-Mills discussion boards. I will do some searching around. Thanks for sharing.
