Has anyone heard of her? I was doing a search on Marie Cummings and Derci's name came up in a newspaper article that cut off. She was a stenographer who allegedly saw the kidnappers. No searches have turned up anything else. This is most likely “Dersi” sometimes spelled “Dursi” .... So my guess is that you stumbled onto another variation of her name.

There's some information here in this link if you word search "Dersi": lindberghkidnap.proboards.com/thread/56/strange-vehicle-sightings-hopewellIf I recall correctly, the three men she saw in a strange vehicle around Hopewell near the time of the kidnapping, were most likely reporters.

No searches have turned up anything else. Here are two very early reports that mention a "Tesse Dersi" or "Thresa Dersi" who could be the person you are referencing. Like Michael has mentioned numerous times on this board about the investigative reports, name spelling can vary in different reports even though they are the same person being discussed. imgur.com/bo2sPp8imgur.com/ZZozI7iI do believe, as Joe mentions in his post, that the Dersi sighting was determined to be reporters. I believe there is a report saying this. I will have to look for it if you are interested.

I am not aware of any photos after the summer and fall of 1931. I know Christmas of 1931 was not as festive as it would have been. The family was mourning the loss of Dwight Morrow Sr. They did have gifts for Charlie. One was the Noah's ark that you can see in some of the nursery room photos taken the night of the kidnapping. I believe this ark was a gift from his Grandmother Morrow.
