A mainstream mind would say that the witness category includes just those who were witnesses to the crime or those who testified in court. The "witness" category, like a lot of these categories, ought to be... "Thinking outside of the box" is a cliche, but it REALLY applies here. Here is a 1995 demo reel interview with the AP reporter, Seth H. Moseley, who claims he had an exclusive interview with Lindbergh. (Part II) "When he [Moseley] scooped the story of the (last) century..." Moseley went to Amherst with Dwight Morrow Junior, and that association certainly helped him, if it is to be believed that he did indeed speak with Lindbergh shortly after the baby's disappearance. Seth is a witness to Lindbergh's behavior, although hours after the fact. Why wasn't Seth H. Moseley called as a witness? www.imdb.com/video/demo_reel/vi931503641/(Part I has to do with Moseley's interview with the late great Greta Garbo.)

extremely good find, both sue and br. a couple of things strike me:
has there not been debate about exactly when CAL first stated he heard the cracking noise? I've read that he stated he heard the noise right away and elsewhere that he didn't come up with that until later. I think this noise was either the ladder breaking (either on the climb down, or when it was being put discarded) or the shutter blowing in the wind, smacking the house (possibly the kidnapper!) etc.
and another: there is precious little about Dwight Jr. floating around, at least from my poking on the interwebs. I've not yet read A Talent to Deceive, but it's on my list to do so. I did find something on Find a Grave, it seemed to indicate he was at least married? There is not even a Wikipedia article on Dwight Jr., this seems strange to me. anyone have other info or has read A Talent to Deceive?
