I just opened an email informing me about another new book coming out. I am hearing it's a critical analysis of the trial which is something I've planned on including (somewhat) in a forthcoming volume. Thankfully I haven't begun writing that yet. Might sound crazy, but I look forward to the Author's explanation, for example, concerning how "they" got to the Juror in order to make the bribe - and how it's believed that bribery may or may not effect history.
If someone beat me to it then they beat me to it. There's certainly plenty of new material to go around.
However, if it turns about to be the "Fisher" version of events looked at by those who accept everything in his novels then I'll make sure to completely destroy it when the time comes. But if it's truly innovative with all the new material being looked at and considered then it will certainly save me a lot of work. I've got my fingers crossed.
Anyone know anything about it? When it's due? What the title is?

Lindbergh Kidnapping Case A Critical Analysis of the Trial of Bruno Richard Hauptmann - written by James M. Dedman and George R. Dekle Thanks Amy. Like Zorn's book, this is another one I am going to pass on. The $75 price tag reminds me of my college days where we had to buy the book for the class so they tripled the price because they knew they could get away with it. Glad I'm not in that situation anymore. Next, the line " a discussion of inculpatory scientific evidence available to, but not used by, the prosecution" tells me all I need to know. So let me make a prediction (that hopefully I turn out to be wrong about): 1. Prosecution = Good. 2. Defense = Bad. 3. Hauptmann = Lone-Wolf Kidnapper who got what he deserved. Bonus: Swipes at The Case That Never Dies and/or Lloyd himself. Double-Bonus: No new material explored and same mistakes repeated as truths. Again, hopefully this prediction is incorrect and it examines the treasure-trove of new material that completely changes history concerning that trial. I do hope that you will write your volume on Hauptmann and the Trial! Your research and perspective on this area of the case are too important to go unpublished! Thanks again. Looks like I'll have no choice. If someone does buy the book and wants to bring things up here please feel free.
